Upcoming Events

Steak Night- 2 Steaks served with hand cut chips, roasted plum tomato, mushroom and peppercorn sauce with unlimited wine for just £29.95. Every Monday evening from 6pm till 9.30pm

Pie Night every Tuesday– a selection of delicious pies to choose from served with creamy mashed potato and seasonal vegetables for just £11.50

Burger and a Pint– Every Wednesday enjoy one of our delicious burger with 2 toppings and a pint for just £12.95

Lunch set menu – Enjoy a light lunch or a full meal with one course for just £7.95 or three courses for £14.95. The menu changes weekly so make The Horse and Chains your regular lunch spot. Monday to Friday 12pm till 6pm.

Early bird menu – Saturday the early bird menu is available between 4pm-5.30pm offering 2 courses for £11.95 and 3 courses for £14.95 book  early to avoid disappointment.

Roasted red pepper and tomato soup with feta cheese and herby crouton

Homemade chicken liver pate with red onion marmalade and toasts

Scottish smoked salmon and prawn timbale with mixed salad and melba toasts

Warm squash and rocket salad with a garlic vinaigrette and mozzarella

Pear, date and walnut salad with gorgonzola dressing

 

Mains

 ( all served with thrice cooked roast potatoes, braised red cabbage, honey roast parsnips, Brussel sprouts and glazed carrots)

Slow cooked turkey crown with stuffing, pigs in blankets and red wine jus

Slow cooked lamb shank with a rich red wine, tomato and basil sauce

Garlic and herb stuffed corn-fed chicken breast with a creamy wild mushroom, tarragon and truffle sauce

Pan fried cod supreme with sautéed new potatoes and spinach

Grilled whole plaice with a lemon and caper butter sauce

Oven baked aubergine stuffed with spinach and mushrooms

Creamy root vegetable and chickpea crumble
